Should Open Source go through the standard procurement process...
Seems like an ordinary and simple question, but...should organisations treat OSS in the same way that their treat commercial solutions?

Consider the differences between OSS and Commercial Software. Should the acquisition be the same? If vendors do support commercial-grade OSS, surely they should go through the same channels as the rest? ... or is there something different to this whole process?

Consider this process...see the problem?
